Meiyan

I decided to redo this page to do some justice to myself. I have no idea how to sum up my 23 years of life in limited words but I’ll try.

I’m Meiyan. Nope I don’t have any Christian name (I’m not even one to begin with). I love my name by the way, cos’ I know my mum especially gotten some Feng Shui master to do some calculations with it.

This is my third blog, lost the 1st one which sparked my interest in web logging since 2001. And I remembered it was Austin who got me started.

I love to travel and I don’t mind travelling alone. It’s quite therapeutic. Though some companions do add some fun. One day I want to leave my mark throughout US and Europe. Egypt and South Africa are places I would love to visit someday too. My most unforgettable trip was still Cambodia 2004. I miss those simple days.

My mum thinks I’m a good studious daughter and I’d hate to break her heart if she knows the things I do.

I’m quite a cynical person when it comes to relationships, partly due to my parents’ failed marriage and I’m giving some credits to the heartbreakers I’ve met.  

And I’m into my third year of reading Economics and Finance (my 2nd major) and doing quite badly. I was cheated into thinking Economics are all theories by my poly. Maths got into the scene and killed my passion.

I love reading. Some of my favourite authors are Jodi Picoult, Sidney Sheldon (RIP), Murakami (thanks to Harvey for the recommendation), Mitch Albom, Sophie Kinsella. I really really love reading chick lits cos’ its just brainless and hilarious!

Will be heading to Korea for exchange next February and I must say I’m quite excited! If anyone wishes to sponsor me I will go do up my nose over there!

Oh besides all the crap I wrote before this paragraph, I wish to add that I can’t swim and have no idea how to blow a bubble gum.
